Eric McDuffie is the founder of Shape Up Certified and Shape Up Fitness & Nutrition. Eric has 30 years of experience in sports and fitness. He was personally invited to the Miami Dolphins football training camp by Don Shula in 1986 and 1987. Eric also has been the “Trainer to the Stars,” such as Lawrence Fishbourne (The Matrix) Brian Bosworth (Athlete turned Actor), Tyson Beckford (Top Model & Actor) and Magic Johnson (Sports Legend) to name a few. He is a strength and conditioning specialist for professional athletes, women & children. Eric has worked with golfers and became the Strength & Conditioning Specialist for the world famous “Adios Golf Club” in South Florida. Eric has mastered techniques in strength, conditioning, and fitness. He educates his students and clients with the highest knowledge and the most innovative techniques in exercise physiology. Eric also works with children and young adults and is assisting his coaching skills at Calvary Christian Academy on the track, basketball and football programs.

Eric earned his first certification with the American Council on Exercise, and then went on to earn five more certifications before he and Dr. Amie Devero would open “Shape Up Academy” certifying trainers with excellence in all areas including practical skills training as well functional training techniques. Eric went to school at Rutgers University and The College of New Jersey. He became a member of the famous National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and now has attained the prestigious credential of a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Expert. He has recently been certified in Sports Nutrition by International Fitness Professionals Association, which holds the highest accreditation in Sports and Fitness in Washington DC through the National Commission of Certifying Agencies.
